I feel like shit, I had to tell Mer today I most likely wouldn't be able to go to Yaoicon, and only Spazz and I were left in the people going.  I hate dissapointing people, more precisely friends...and this is just like...the worst thing.

I'll keep my promise another time for the reviews and shit.  No way am I in a mood to be happy for any reason other that "You won a million dollars, a jet plane, and free passes to every convention ever for you and all your friends", and chances of that happening are...well it ain't happening so yeah.

Holy Sweet Mother of Zombie Jesus...

  • Jun. 12th, 2007 at 2:32 PM

Wow.  Just...wow.  Over the past few months, I've realized something, more of...actually thought about it than realized, but my points stands.  When news about a MOVIE hits headlines more than actual news about the WORLD?  Geesh...seriously.  Come on.  Politicians are raping people.  Priests are molesting little boys.  There's a bullshit war going on that NO ONE wants to be in.  And a monkey got re-elected as president of the USGFU (United States of Go Fuck Yourself, for those who didn't get it).

It's a -hard- thing to accept isn't it?  I mean, hell.  I wanted to see PotC3 as much as any Pirate fan would, but c'mon...Spiderman 3, Shrek 3, PotC3, Fantastic Four 2, Transformers...all these things taking HEADLINES rather than actual news.  If someone didn't know about these movies, they're idiots, no need to take up the whole front page with Hollywood @#$%.

Onto part two of my rant.  As some of you know, a person I hate (hate hate hate mother&#$%-in hate) said they would be gone for around a year, great news right?  Not a sign of them online for a year.  Like christmas came EARLY and Santa brought extra just for me, ya know?  Turns out, the person has been on nearly every day.  I -just- found out.  And it's like...TAINTED now.  I can't be happy that this person is around still.  Even if I don't come in contact with them.  They are essentially taking a year hiatus to play games and shirk responcibility.  I'm no bible-totin' Jesus freak but...GOD SMITE THIS BITCH WITH A THUNDERBOLT OR SOMETHING!  Divine Retribution!  Justify your year hiatus by getting deathly ill or something...christ, really.

In other news, I'm heading to Arizona for the 4th of July to hang out with Spazzy and her family.  This time, I meet her mom.  Scary shit, I know.  Her dad and bro liked me, so there's some points there.  But still, new people freak me the hell out.  I really hope things go well.  Eh, either way.  I'll get more time with Spazz, and I'll be bringin' my laptop with me this time too, since I wont be leaving it around in a hotel, I'm staying at her house this time.  Should be fun, fireworks, anime, games, avoiding the heat.  A classic South West Otaku holiday, know what I mean?  Now if only I could find a cactuar in the desert around here, that'd be perfect.

Good luck to a few people with their endevours recently, I'm hoping to see a Blue/Purple Haired Kitty-Dog thing with a little bulbous light-blue bell that chimes a lot in the near future.

More info about what's going on in my life soon, a game review of Phoenix Wright and Okami (as well as a few others) will soon follow this one, and a list of things I am planning on doing (cons, costumes, etc), PROMISE!

This...is my BOOM stick!

Now I'm not one to say "violence is the answer", but I'm also not one to say a good whack over the head isn't a good thing now and again.  To be honest, I know a few people who really could go for a smack or two...or ten...but I digress.  These people have been putting their bullshit agenda on me, for whatever reason, and frankly?  I think they should shove their head a little farther up their ass, maybe that'll allow them to see the light again.

For those out there in the world who are like this and also who will probably never read this...I give you this advice.  Grow up and be a fucking adult you mooching lazy ass sonsabitches!  As fun as play time is, and as -easy- as it is to just sit on your ass and have someone throw money at you, at some point, this will bite you in the ass and you'll be SBT (Screwed, Blued, and Tattooed, a saying my grandfather was very attached to).

Now I don't say this to people who are say, in college, have not so much money themselfs, are getting paid for school by parents, a scholorship, or something along those lines.  Everyone has to get a little help from somewhere, just those who lose themselfs to the slacker life style, you can't expect someone to hand you money every day for nothing, life ain't that nice.

I also want to say that COLLEGE ISN'T EVERYTHING!  God, I know that it's a big thing for a lot of people, me included, but it's not everything, I've seen people go on to make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year and not even have a -highschool- diploma, go figure right?  College, nice as it is, isn't needed completely, especially if you have skills already.  And the people I'm talking about may or may not know who they are, but just know, it's not the end of the world if you don't go to college.

Okay!  Thats out of the way now!  I've been reading "If Chins Could Kill, Confessions of a B Movie Actor" by Bruce Campbell, and I'm loving it, it's like, well taking the words from my dad as I was reading him chapter after chapter of the book.  "Man, that sounds like you!"  Now I don't think he meant "Hey you can be Ash's second cousin in the next Evil Dead movie!" (though that would be cool, keep an open mind about that idea would ya Campbell ol' buddy?), but what I think he means is, that's the path I'm down right now.  I'm going for an internship with Gaia, I really hope I get it, desperatly I do, I want to go there, work there, even if it's for nickels and dimes I find on the floor, I'll get another job ontop of it if I need to support myself.  But it's just a PERFECT opportunity for me, it's in San Jose, I'll be able to be with Crystal for the summer, it's marketing with Gaia (and I love business junk, I do, I -really- do), and...voice acting studios are around that part of California, I could maybe try out for open casting call auditions, even if I don't get a part, my name is out there!  Needless to say, with the way Campbell's life worked out, if I can get half that, I'll be a happy camper.  This book boosted my spirits as far as being a "freaky, young, crazy, out of his mind, wannabe (voice) actor" is concerned.  Thanks for reccomending the book onee-chan.

Finally...I say this...-just- over 9 days til Fanime!  God, I know I just went to Florida a while ago (my first vacation since...ironically enough, the day before September 11th, 2001), but I can really use time away from just...-here-, I'm dying to see Crystal again, some time alone with her is just what I need.

Mrrph...

  • May. 3rd, 2007 at 11:15 PM

I'm tired...I slept like a couple hours last night and nothing since then.  When I'm overly tired I think too much, so here I am.  It's lonely here most of the time, the stuff I get to do with my dad are generally errands and nothing else, though we are going to see Spiderman 3 monday if all goes well.  He'll be gone on and off through out the weekend though, otherwise we'd go sometime before then.  Did I mention I'm tired?

I applied for the Gaia internship, I'm excited, but...if I get it and Spazz doesn't get it, I know I'll be dissapointed, she definatly deserves the art internship more than anyone else who's going to apply.  On the other hand, if I don't get it, I know I'll just be a dissapointment.  Conflicting emotions, even if I'm over doing the emotionalness of it all, more than likely due to my lack of sleep, nevertheless, it's still true.

For whatever reason, I feel mostly useless a good part of the time, more so when it comes to real life things and such, but it's not limited to that.

Oh well...anyways, yeah, not feeling all that well.

  • Apr. 26th, 2007 at 9:22 AM

Well, I haven't posted here in a bit, please feel free to blame Pokemon Pearl as well as all the shop stuff on Gaia I have been doing.  Which reminds me...I need a new OMG and set of Horns of the Demon. xD

Anyways, first things first Wii Games (and DS games)!  As per request from onee-chan, here is, my top list of existing/soon to come Wii and DS games!  THIS IS THE GAME-DOWN!

DS Games:

~Listu~ )

Wii Games:

~Listu~ )

On that note, I'd like to give out some random props for people who have been doing an exceptional job in life in general:

Firstly, Dante-sama!  Busy as she is, she's pulled off doing things for other people and managed to do a hell of a job at that as well.  Also, if any of you haven't seen what she's been doing for her school projects/been reading her journal, she's doing exceptionally well right now. xD Good on ya Dante, keep up the good work!  And rest that wrist young lady! *finger wag* Otherwise how are you gunna carry around that keyblade?!

Second up is my onee-chan herself, Lumi~  Why you ask?  She's been busy, she's been working, she's been doing everything, she definatly needs a bit of praise right now and could seriously go for some fun!  Which explains why I have made this list of games for some systems that she wants. << >> You getcher butt in gear and get ready for PotC3 nee-chan!  It's gunna ROCK!  MIGHTNIGHT SHOWING WOOTWOOT!

Bulls, she gets my condolences about her constume, she's been working on it with next to no help, hope it gets finished before the con! @__@ Piccus of it must be provided!

Ende...well Ende has been super busy and over worked, we can only hope that her job gets better and that she can get some time to chill.

Mer....@___@ her baby is very loud, let us all chip in and get her some ear plugs, the poor thing.

THATS ALL!  Talk to you all later! xD

Though I am already in my pajamas...

I love Futurama, I do, I adore it, the cast is amazing, if you haven't seen it, go buy the DVD's or watch it on Adult Swim, if you have seen it.......go buy the DVD's or watch it on Adult Swim more.  Have you ever realize just how much Billy West -does- in that show?  He's like...EVERYONE!  He's Amy Wong's DAD for god sake.  What an amazing talent, LOVEHIM!

Some good things happened today, I emailed Billy West, played with puppies, colored some Ryuko for tomorrows events, watched tons of Futurama, beat Super Paper Mario, and got an email from BangZoom Entertainment (anime dubbers, THEY DID CHAMPLOO >O<).

Anyway, lets start with Super Paper Mario shall we?

Super Paper Mario Review: Holy cow, if you like RPG's and you like platformers and you like sidescrollers, this is your game!  It's got a little of everything, and while the bosses are shockingly easy, the enemies are sometimes repetative in design, and the dialogue is hokier than Bozo the Clown, it's all you could expect from a Mario game, and MORE than what you'd expect from the Paper Mario/Mario RPG series.  The ability to flip from 2D to 3D was fun to say the least, confusing in the begining, but you get used to it and then wonder why no one thought of it before.  Unlike in other Paper Mario and Mario RPG games, Mario is joined by more than just Luigi or some random Goomba/Paratroopa/etc kinds of characters, you've got access to a near whole main cast of the Mario games (save Toad and the ever loveable Yoshi).  Yes that means you play as Mario, Luigi, Peach, and for the first time in a co-op with Mario game, Bowser!  Mario and Luigi play very much the same, save Luigi's super jumping abilities and Mario's 3D flipping capabilities.  Peach is very simple, average in every way, she is the best defender cause of her parasol and also has the ability to glide, fun.  Bowser is slower than shit, but makes up by doing double the damage the other three can do as well as breathe fire (not very useful in the story part of the game, but awesome for burning baddies).  The story seems a bit pieced together last minute, lame, and just weird at sometimes, you could actually see the end of the game by the second world, not to say you can't in many other Mario games, but still, a little unshocking if you ask me.  Still, a heartwarming tale to say the least.  All in all, the game's music, gameplay, use of characters, innovative ideas, and just plain funishness makes it a good game to play if you have a Wii.  I wouldn't BUY it, cause it's a very short game (about 20+ hours at most), so I'd say rent it, beat it, take it back, no real REPLAY value unless you're super crazy about 100%-ing everything, I'm not unless there's something in it for me, is there this time?  Nope, so I wouldn't bother.  Either way, go play it!  A- for the plumber's new adventure into the realm of Paper-Play-Time!

OKAY!  About BangZoom, I have an email for them now, and I'm talking with a manager, we're having fun talking too, even if I don't get a job from this, I have my name out there more (same with why I contacted Billy West) and now I know more people than I did before.  Either way, wish me luck with possibly getting a job -somehow- in voice acting soon.

I'm sick of being in this person's house, I'm not at home, I'm dog sitting for my dad's friend tonight, I get to go home in about an hour or so, yay, but still, it's cold, it's quiet, it's lonely, I don't like it.

!~Comment please~!

You know...

  • Apr. 19th, 2007 at 8:48 PM

When you're playing a game, and you really need to turn it off, for whatever reason:  Going to dinner, making food, your hands hurt, Jesus coming back, free Pope Hat day, a flatsale, going to bed, going to school...etc.  You can NEVER find a save spot?  You always find it 10 minutes later and then you're friggen -late-, what the hell?  Is it so much to ask that there be a few more save spots in a game?  No, I don't think so.

Anyway, I'm in the last world of Super Paper Mario, so for all those people wanting to hear my review of it, it'll be up tomorrow, along with another couple reviews, please read them and comment on them, comments make me very happy.

So...random thoughts from me.  I was thinking first, if a bat and a dolphin could talk to eachother, then I decided, maybe, it could be possible.  But the different frequencies...such a weird concept, it'd be like hearing something and not understanding it.  And that's when it came to me!  A bat, a dolphin, and a whale all get together in a general area and start squeakin' and squookin' away, and to them it would be the equivalent of a Japanese person, an American, and a Frenchman getting together in a room and trying to talk to eachother.  Gobbledegook I say!  CHAOS!

I really need to find a way to put all these fucked up ideas to use.  If anyone has suggestions...my ears are open. xD

If you cannot convince them...confuse them

  • Apr. 18th, 2007 at 9:31 PM

How do I confuse you?  Random quotes:

Janitor: Hey, from now on, your name is "Scooter."
J.D.: I don't get it.
Janitor: It's short for "Scooter Pie." I hate Scooter Pies.
J.D.: Oh. Now I see.
J.D.'s Narration: You big jerk!

"Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music." -- Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989

"Once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of 'hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, "give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404."

Dr. Cox: Yeah, let's see if you can't focus on things that I actually give a rat's ass about.

"One of the great things about books is sometimes there are some fantastic pictures." -George W. Bush

Dr. Cox: I love this moment so much, I want to have sex with it.

"As she lay there dozing next to me, one voice inside my head kept saying, 'Relax, you're not the first doctor to sleep with one of his patients', but the another kept reminding me, 'Howard, you are a veterinarian!'"

Answering Machine Saying: "You're growing tired. Your eyelids are getting heavy. You feel very sleepy now. You are gradually losing your willpower and your ability to resist suggestions. When you hear the tone you will feel helplessly compelled to leave your name, number, and a message."

"I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sound they make as they go flying by."

Deadpool: The day my father Odin banished me from Asgard, I was bitten by a vampire and had radioactive waste dumped into my eyes. To make matters worse, my mutant ability to control weather activated just as I was hit by a blast of gamma radiation. Nah, actually, I got this way by volunteering for the Weapon X program. They promised to cure my cancer. And they cured it all right, by giving me an outrageous healing factor. Then they labeled me psychotic and tossed me into a prison lab. So I escaped and became what some people might call a 'mercenary'. I prefer the title 'cleaner of the gene pool'.

Deadpool: And now I'm better at doing whatever it is Wolverine does!

Deadpool: Sir, yes, Sir! Ceasing all mindless rambling! Uh, is that vein on your forehead meant to be throbbing like that?

Deadpool:  I hate broccoli, and think it totally sucks,Why is it not meat? [/haiku]

Deadpool:  Wait, we're going to fight Dr. Doom? No one told me we were going to fight Doom! I want my lawyer! I want my mommy! I want my lawyer's mommy!

Deadpool: Whatever happens, remember to protect me.

Deadpool: I have a rash. Wanna see it?

Deadpool: Ooh! Wanna hear me play the 1812 Overture on my armpit?

Confused yet?  You damn well should be...

Weird...

  • Apr. 17th, 2007 at 10:50 PM

Well, I'm going to try and come up with some good slogans for t-shirts on cafepress within the next few days, so when I get that going, I'll pimp the link here, and hey, if you like them...feel free to buy them.

Spazzy and I opened Rindou Kikiireru today!  Very happy about that, those who noticed, please don't be discouraged about Nat and Moochi being there.  I know they arn't the -best- people to be around, but I really count on you guys to shoo away the riffraff with me so shops don't turn into X-rated pet peddling things.  Have you seen the Audio guild?  It's...terrible now.  So I think that, if we do our best, we can make sure things stay nice in that shop.  ^^;; So please stop by regularly and support literate non-sex based RP behaviour, or even mention that if they -do- start that, it's innapropriate, because it is.  I really depend on you all.

The World R:3, my immence MMORPG/Anime/Role Play based shop is on it's way!  I'm very happy with how it's turning out and I'm doing my very best to make it something people will work hard for instead of just throwing it in their sig and forgetting about it.  I've been told it's the next GMFC (without the drama I hope), which makes me happy.  I'm hoping to fill the void in breedables, as where most shops come out of no where just for the sake of it and have minimal thought into the shop, I've poured myself into this.

Anyway...today was rather decent, though some people's actions made it a bit uncomfortable, I forgive them for it, but really, somethings people say hurt more than they would realize.  As I'm sure many people know.  Oh well, can't fix the past as much as you can predict the future.

I rented Super Paper Mario it's SO much fun, once I beat it, I'll throw a review up here so you can all get a good look at it.

I also started playing Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst (on a free server) with Spazzy!  It's a really fun MMORPG, I used to play it on Dreamcast oh so many years ago, it's really fun getting back to my roots in games sometimes ya know?  Like playing an NES game for the hell of it or something.  Good times, good memories, gotta love it.

As for the shops, getting back to that, any questions or something. ^^ Ask away.

Wonderful

  • Apr. 16th, 2007 at 8:10 PM

So, today has been shitty, for the world as well as myself so it seems.  Everyone by now has heard of the shootings, 33 dead, more injured, at Virginia Tech.  Bloody wonderful isn't it?  What the fuck was that about really?  Did you know that the shootings started two hours -before- the actual incident occured?  They didn't cancel classes, they didn't TELL anyone, what the hell were the cops thinking?  They were letting people in that fast?  They didn't even -do- anything about it yet and things just kept moving.  The first shooting left two dead, and the cops said "HE FLED", well aparently they were right, he fled, to another part of the fucking campus.  Nice job.  I'm bitter, so I'm sorry, but still it doesn't make sense!  Things should have been handled better, if that had been done, maybe we'd still have 31 of those 33 alive with us, but aparently due to bad judgement, many more were injured and killed.  It's a sad day indeed.

My own day?  Lets just say there was some head trauma involved due to the anger of a family member, and it was my head that was injured.  And ontop of that, constantly being bitched at, yelled at, made fun of, and picked on, by my -only- family members I have left.  Not a good day, not a good day at all.  I forgive them, because I love them, and they are all I have familywise, but still...I wouldn't do something like that to them, or really to anyone...

To sum up the day, I give you the song I'm listening to, it's very sad, and very dark, and it's sung very well, if you don't have it, and you want it, hit me up, I'll send you Aura (calm version) and Evil Aura (dark version), both are very worthy to listen to:

If you are near to the dark
I will tell you 'bout the sun
You are here, no escape
From my visions of the world
You will cry all alone
But it does not mean a thing to me

Knowing the song I will sing
Till the darkness comes to sleep
Come to me, I will tell
'Bout the secret of the sun
It's in you, not in me
But it does not mean a thing to you

The sun is in your eyes
The sun is in your ears
I hope you see the sun
Someday in the darkness

The sun is in your eyes
The sun is in your ears
But you can't see the sun
Ever in the darkness
It does not much matter to me

Psycrowe from Deviant Art, known for the Xemnas Reports has started a sequel.  READ THEM FOR THEY ARE FUNNY!:

I do have to say one thing though, because I know the people who would read this.  <_< Call me "Moon Man" and I'll boot you in the ass, so help me...*mumbles*

Anyway~!  This one is gunna be short because I didn't -do- much of anything today.  At all.  Cept watch anime that Spazzy told me were good, which...she was right.  xD They were funny.  Wanna know what they are?  Well you're going to have to make a comment asking me!~

I still haven't rented Okami or Super Paper Mario...and in the words of Jack Black in King Kong "IM GOING TO GO EMO IN THE CORNER AND CUT MYSELF NOW!"

...so he didn't -actually- say it, I kinda -made- him say it at Megacon.  You'll never realize how good I am at making sucky movies better by re-dubbing the whole thing improv-like.

Oh, and one more thing.  I can play Super Smash Bros (and Super Smash Bros Melee) with my feet, and no "one button" attacks either, I can kick some serious ass.  And having said that, I hereby challenge Bill Gates to play me in a game of Super Smash Bros Melee and I'll ONLY use my feet.  C'mon Gates!  Don't be a wuss!

*insert interesting title here*

Dubbed anime doesn't suck, the dubbers do.
Subbed anime doesn't rock, the subbers do.
Anime is awesome, generally speaking.

  • Apr. 12th, 2007 at 11:54 PM

If no one gets the joke in the title, it's a play off of the old Lipton BRISK Icetea comercials where at the end the person who drank some would always say "Mmmm...Brisk" or "Ahhh...that's Brisk", or something along those lines.  I...don't know why I remembered this now, ontop of that, I never really cared for the drink all that much.  It tasted very stale, then again, I don't like any types of british tea all that much, too strong for my liking, give me a good green tea and I'll be in heaven.

I'm in a pretty decent mood right now.  Lots of stuff in the works for me too, moving sometime this year (if all goes as planned), sending in work to become a substitute teacher, sending out applications and such to get my name out there in the voice acting world, planning con trips to hook up with everyone, doing stuff on Gaia (two shops coming to a b/c forum near you~ le woot), and many other things.  It feels like everything is going a mile a minute and I wish things would slow down so I can plan better, but at the same time, things feel so slow that I wish they could speed up so I could see the fruition of all my work.  Conflict...conflict...conflict.  Oh well, can't change the flow of time.

I have to pick up a catalogue tomorrow for the Fall semester, and I have to re-take the class I dropped. >_< I need it for my degree but my GOD I cannot...rephrase...could NOT stand that teacher anymore, I was at my limit.  College is trying my patience very much so, but I did not put all this work into it just to give up now, I -will- finish college even if it kills me (it wont, but I can be melodramatic if I wanna be).  School has been what I've done since...well since I can remember, though, I did start playing video games before I started school.  xD Gamer at age two, going to school by age three, fun times.

Speaking of games, I want to play Super Paper Mario for Wii and Okami for PS2.  Tomorrow will state which game I play, becuase I am going to rent one, and I really want to rent both, but I know if I do, I'll only have time to play/beat one of them, so if I'm going to spend money on renting them, I may as well do it one at a time and enjoy them both at a pace I'm comfortable with instead of having to rush through them both within 5 days o(it's possible to do it, but then I wouldn't be able to sleep if I wanted to pull it off).  So...game tomorrow, I don't care which really, I'll rent them both eventually anyway.  Though I want to play Super Paper Mario first just because well...I have it on the brain.  But...Okami...so pretty.  Bah, nevermind, I don't care, I need a game I haven't played before. xD

42 days til Fanime!  Spazzy said that when she gets her first paycheck, she's paying for flights and such.  >>;; She's such a sweetheart.  Not to overly mushify my journal here, but I really love her a lot.  In the grand scheme of things, she's really been a good influence on me, which I can't really say about too many people I've met in my life.  Infact, maybe a grand total of three or four at most can I say that about with goof confidence, but by far, Spazzy has been the biggest good influence on me in my life.  And with that, I have to say, I appreciate her and everything she does for me. >O<;; I'll stop here before I go into "super lovey gushy mode", which I do sometimes, and I am not embarassed to say that. xD

I'm pretty out of things to say, shockingly enough.  Quick plugs really fast, go read the Artemis Fowl series, if you like Harry Potter (and even if you don't), you'd more than likely enjoy this series.

PS:   For those who don't know what momentai means...it means "relax".  Which, I need to do, a lot. xD

A Live Action Fandom!? HEARSAY!

Alright, today was a bunch of shit up until a few hours ago, really.  First, nothing, dead silence, come to find out my family had left to go...I have no idea, early in the morning and left me there without telling me before leaving me there alone.  Woulda been nice to get some advanced info on that one.  Anyway, that was the least of my problems, I did some serious work on the manga scrip today, but guess what?  It was -lost-, why? How?  Who the hell knows.  So I tried some stuff to get it back and did research on recovery, while I did that popups out the ass came, and guess what, -something- downloaded and wouldn't go away despite everything, after an hour and a half I got it deleted, but, with that, every driver on my computer vanished, I don't know how, I didn't even mess with that part of my computer, and it took another three hours to fix it because I lost my internet drivers too meaning -no- internet at all, had there been a way to connect, I could have fixed everything else fast.  Bah, I spent an hour on the phone with tech support and "Brittany" though I know that wasn't her name, I didn't give a shit about her name after she wasted 20 minutes asking me my personal information instead of helping me with my problem.  Well this "Brittany" -knowingly- said she had no idea what the fuck she was talking about -TO ME-, I mean atleast give me some bullshit hope here missy.  I don't see how they could hire someone who doesn't know the OS or the technology itself, I've had a bad time with tech support before, but Gateway takes the cake (well...Dell really does, but I don't have to deal with them personally).  Anyway, after that, I've been working on fixing the problems since then and now it's finally working right.  Thank god.

Anyway, the manga writing is going well, changing things around and such is actually working better.  Spazzy and myself are having a bit of trouble with it though, because I've never really written a "horror/suspence" kind of thing (though it is a bit of Shoujo/Shounen too) and she's never done a lot of very different character designs to go along with the "horror/suspence/monster" kinda thing.  It's good for both of us really, we're branching out and it's turning out -really- well after all the drafts and re-drafts etc.  I'm liking it more and more. After seeing Spazzy do some sketches in an OC-Network session with just her and me I was really pleased with the little headshot of the baddy she did, especially after my longass description of 'em and the -horrid- doodles I did that she requested.  Don't have me doodle any of my ideas, it will come out like shit (like this picture of my idea from the other day, Captain Planet's Grass/Hair getting eaten by a Cow: http://i11.tinypic.com/2rqhd0z.jpg ...don't steal this idea please. T___T;;; I wanna put a good art version of it on T-Shirts and make them availible for people to buy later, so please, don't take it).  Anyway, I'm so happy about this project, not only is it a great way to get back into writing, but it's really so much fun to be able to do this with Spazzy, I've wanted to do more with her because we're far apart (for now anyway) and doing these kinds of things makes it feel like maybe we're not really that far away after all (totally lame line I know, but I'm such an emotional sucker for little things like this).

I only have to wait just over a month til I see her again, but then at that time, I meet part of her family.  @___@ I~ Suck~ In~ High~ Stress~ Situations~ Like~ That~!  Seriously, I have no idea what the hell I'm going to do, she said since her and her brother are going to Fanime, her dad may want them to go to dinner while they are in town, and guess who's going too if it happens?  You guessed it~!  Not to say I'm not excited about this prospect, but given the whole scenario, I'm nervous as all hell.  *chews on his thumb* I'll probably end up watching everything I say and coming across as some kinda twitchy weirdo...which, I am, but I don't want her parents to know that. Oh well!  Fanime will be great, POTC3 midnight showing with Spazzy, the con itself, and getting to see part of the town Spazzy likes the most.  San Jose~  I can't wait!

My new shop idea!  A lot of my recent ones have either flopped, been taken over by someone else, or both, luk-ee.  This one I am confident about, artwork by Endejester, inking by Merangue, along with some acceptional other artists and colorists backing me up as well as a good friend giving me some help with keeping the "bad RP's" at a bare minimum (thanks Onee-chan, I appreciate you hopping on board this idea).  If you like anime, you'll love this shop.  If you love to RP, you'll love this shop.  If you love MMORPG games, you'll LOVE this shop.  If you love a good story, great art, and a nice friendly (and n00b destroying) staff?  You'll ADORE this shop.  I'll keep everyone updated on the progress of it.  So far, it's going slow, but stuff is getting seriously done.

Onto the reason for the title my friends!  [Scrubs]!  I -friggen- love that show.  I started watching it when it came to Comedy Central, and I just...I just totally fell in love.  The cast is as such:
  • Zach Braff as Dr. John "J.D." Dorian
  • Sarah Chalke as Dr. Elliot Reid
  • Donald Faison as Dr. Christopher Duncan Turk
  • John C. McGinley as Dr. Percival "Perry" Cox
  • Judy Reyes as Carla Turk
  • Neil Flynn as Janitor
  • Ken Jenkins as Dr. Robert "Bob" Kelso

That's the main cast, Dr. Cox and Janitor are my favorite characters.  I share a lot of personality traits with both Cox and "J.D." though, as weird as it is.  The theme song for the show is "Superman" by Lazlo Bane, which is a good song.  If you haven't seen this show, SEE IT!  Totally!  If you like serious comedy shows, you'll love this show.  Also, in It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie, the cast makes a cameo appearance when Ms. Piggy is seen as an extra in Scrubs, but trying to improvise and give herself a bigger role.  Funny stuff.  And...if you have seen it, watch this, newbie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20Of_mna-Rs

Tacking this on, I'm plaugued by spiffy Libris pairings that I'd love to own/see.  If you've seen my sig on Gaia, you know already about Kamui/Albireo & Ovan/Kite pairs (both coming from the .hack anime/manga/book series), but just today I thought of Tron/Sark pair (of which, Lumi and I both completely spazzed over, totally tempted to snag'm for her if I can), the last of the pairs I had thought of was "J.D." and Dr. Cox, because they would make an -awesome- pair because of their relationship in the show.

Okay~  Done with my rantingness today.

    Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiii~

Alright, so I'm going to do my weekly dose of nerd right here, enjoy.

    Game Reviews~

Sonic and the Secret Rings for the Wii:  A great game, back to the roots of Sonic the Hedgehog, fast, lots of jumping, and no emo.  The -real- return of the blue blur.  I loved the game play, though the camera angle on it made it a bit awkward when you were trying to go "backwards" since Sonic just backsteps instead of turning around, making it kind of feel more like a "one way" game than anything else, a bit uncomfortable if you ask me, not something -big- but still, it made the game a little less fun.  The storyline was...well lets just say the storyline was much like the first couple Sonic games, nearly non-existant and hokey, which was a bit hard to get over, had they just not put any story to it, I probably would have liked it better.  Voices, something I've very harsh about, were bad.  I miss the old Sonic voice from the first Adventure game, this one sounded forced to become "hip" or "cool", Sonic is a hero, not some badass "yo mama" joke slinger, please don't make him use slang so much.  The new characters were horrible, just boring, and annoying, not much to say there.  I read in the manual that "Sonic's friends appear and help him", bullshit, they don't, they show up like...twice at most sometimes and nag the hell out of you while you try and figure out where this lackluster bullshitted storyline is going.  Sorry Sonic, ya goofed a bit on that one.  Still, very much a fun game, and worth buying for big Sonic fans and renting for those of you who just want to play a good Wii game.  C+/B-, fun, buy it used for the best deal.

Marvel- Ultimate Alliance for the Wii and PS2:  Holycrap is all I have to say!  Both the PS2 and Wii versions of this game were the same storyline wise, though the gameplay differed for both -greatly-, so lets start with the similarities and then go onto differences.  Most of your favorite Marvel heros and villains appear in this game, it's geekdom on a disk, the story is great pitting Dr. Doom and his evergrowing list of badguy buddies, from Bullseye to The Scorpion and -more-, I nearly wet myself with glee hearing all the funny witty banter and "monologuing" in the game, it was like being in a comic book!  My favorite parts about it were the characters to choose, they picked a lot of good ones, Spiderman, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, The Fantastic 4, Deadpool, tons of amazing characters and the voices for each were AMAZING!  Especially hearing Axel/Reno's american voice actor do the voice of Spiderman while the voice of Wolverine was done by Mugen/Spike, something about hearing those two argue made me laugh so hard.  Story, perfect, characters, awesome, geek-ness?  100/100 so far.  Now for the differences, PS2 had your normal button mashing abilities as far as gameplay was concerned, classic, perfectly done, fun and simple, PS2 version gets an A.  Wii?  Well...what's to say?  Fighting with your firsts?  Literally being able to -throw- Captain America's shield?  I was so happy!  It made it a whole new experiance for me and made the game worth re-playing just for that, Wii version gets an A+.  Both totally awesome, bvoth totally worth playing.

A Boy and His Blob for the NES:  Iconic, seen in many online flash animations, and why you ask?  Because there is no game more retarded than this.  Completely a waste of time, why was this game made?  It makes games like Mario Is Missing and McKids (the McDonalds game) look like fun.  Really...that's how bad it is.  I'd rather chop off all my toes than play this game, it'd be more fun to -remove my friggen toes- than to see it on my screen again.  Now not saying NES games are bad, because lord knows I love NES games and I still have an NES emulator so I can get my old-school fix, but really...people need to stop using this game in online pop-culture iconic places, it's not a good game, let it die, please. F!  F for FAIL!

Forbidden Siren/Siren for PS2:  Wow, not what I was expecting, really, I've played through it a few times just to understand really what was going on, it's...like a more storyline involved version of Resident Evil and without a lot of "shoot 'em in the heaaaaad!" times, so really, a good game, but not really what I was expecting, kind of a let down in some areas too.  Part of what was great and shitty about this game was the innovative yet poorly done "sightjack" ability, which if you don't know, is sort of a long distance Vulcan mindmeld where you can see through the monsters in the area's eyes, cool, giving you the ability to see what they see, know where they are, and all that kinda stuff, problem is, it leaves you completely open for -anything- that is in the area.  The most subtle of move in the game can end badly for you, controlls were poor and the 'battle' part of it, when you fight monsters, was useless, you -die- most of the time and if -you- don't die, the person you're traveling with might and then you have to start over again.  The best part of the game was it's original story and innovation in the game itself, not enough to make it worth buying "new", infact I got my copy for about $7, so, It was worth it for me, I wouldn't pay much more that $15 for it given the choice and such.  Still, fun game, interesting twist in the horror gaming industry, if you love horror games, Siren is a good choice for you.  C, for horror gamers its a must everyone else...if you like taking chances, may as well give this a go.

Mushashi Samurai Legend for PS2: Based very loosely on The Book of Five Rings telling the tale of Miyamoto Musashi, this Square Enix game was in production originally for the PSX but was discontinued and brought back on the PS2 being revamped and redone, an unofficial sequel to Brave Fencer Musashi (a PSX game) it has real-time combat in a full 3D environment (kind of like Kingdom Hearts) and lots of  voice-overs from well known and not-so-well known actors for a good majority of the game, infact, I found myself ignoring dialogue boxes all together after a while.  I wont spoil it for you, but much like The Book of Five Rings, it has Musashi, a samurai, trying to find items of the element, instead of rings however, it's swords (woot!) each with it's own spiffy ability.  I found this game to be -very- much like Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2, enough so that, if you haven't played it, and you're wanting a good KH like game as a "hold me over" until KH3?  Go for Musashi: Samurai Legend.  The boss battles are innovative, fun, and just plain -weird- sometimes, making all that much more fun.  Now I bet you're waiting for the bad part right?  Well good on ya, you're right, there is one big problem with the game, despite the fact that a good portion of the game is voices instead of just having dialogue, Musashi's voice was just SO damn annoying I found myself cringing everytime he spoke.  Everyone else in the cast however was done really well (minus Musashi's marial arts teacher, a cat by the name of Master Mew who sounded like a bad Japanese Yoda).  All in all, a great game, very fun, very amusing, a must have, especially because you can find it for around $15 depending on where you go.  A- for the Samurai~!

Alright, that's about all for now, I was going to start writing something about the manga I'm making with Spazzy and my new shop idea I'm working on, but, it's late and I'm tired and I don't think I could write anymore.  My next entry will probably have a few more game reviews as well as the other stuff I wanted to talk about in this entry~!

    Probably...

    • Apr. 10th, 2007 at 12:21 AM

Probably!  For the love of all that is good in the world!  Probably!

Sorry, long time troubles with that word, no one spells it right, I don't know why, it just...seems to be one of those words.  Like supercalafragalisticexpialadocious or h
exakosioihexekontahexaphobia...or even hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia.  But really, probably isn't a long word, spell it!

Anyway, I'm having a hard time dealing with somethings right now, so, of course, it's ranting time for my journal!

Why don't teachers -teach- anymore?  Why are you talking about your family to me?  I paid $300 for this class to learn enough to pass the damn class, get my credits, go onto the next course, and move the hell on!  But no...no, you talk about your kids?  Is the test on your kids?  Or your husband?  It's not?  Then shut the -FUCK- up about them!  Christ, I mean really, if you're going to test us on -that- shit, then by all means, I'll take notes, I'll draw you a damn chart if you want, but if it's not on the test...don't bother.

All things aside, I'm...in a good mood right now.  Good mood, how?  That's what you're thinking right?  Well if you weren't now that I said you were, you are now, take THAT!  Anyway...here's why.

Manga!  Yes, writing the manga, writing writing, I had a good idea, changed the whole damn thing around, and it sounds much less like bullshit thrown together and more like a story now, so pleased with myself.  Also, I'm creating a line of weapons made from X-Box parts.  The X-Box Mace, the Controller Flail, and the 360 Torch.  Considering the first X-Box weighs about a billion pounds, the controllers are the size of a VCR and twice as heavy, and hearing stories of 360's catching on fire, I think it's appropriate.  Maybe I'll email this to Bill Gates and have him consider it, I mean hey!  He's made worse torture devices, look at the sick excuse for a OS he made?  Windows 98? Remember that?  I bet you do...

My brilliant idea for the night has something to do with Captain Planet...I will desperately attempt to get Spazzy to draw it for me until she caves...I wanna get it on T-shirts...
